For the past few months, every time I attempt to copy
files to a CD, I get an error that says "There is no disk
in the drive. Please insert a writable CD into Drive E:\".
Drive E is a CD Writer drive, and I had no problems
copying to this drive several months ago. The Drive *is*
reading CD's, it has no problem running other disks, both
professional and ones that I had created in the past, the
last time I backed up the files I wish to keep.
It's an ARTEC WRA-WA48 (in the device manager, at least),
I *have* gone through the properties and enabled CD
Writing, tried it both Disabled and Enabled, tried it at
all speeds, with both hard drives as the place where the
image is stored, tried updating the drivers, and still I
get this same error.
Beyond reinstalling Windows XP (Home, Upgrade, started as
Win 98 se), is there any way to fix this?
