unable to copy and paste

Hi. Each time I restart my computer I can copy/cut/print screen and paste
once only, then each attempt to paste something after that doesn't work, in
wordpad (I'm using Works) it just inserts a space and in paint nothing
happens at all, the paste command is greyed out and ctrl+v doesn't work
either.
I have tried system restore and also ran GetOpenClipboardWindow.zip - it
said "successfully opened and closed the clipboard. does not appear to be any
problems"
I have run my anti-virus program and ad-aware.

Any ideas how to fix this? Its driving me insane!

Hi, Anna
Try this: disable the restore function; try to restart is safe mode.
(while booting press F8 and choose "safe mode")
Run the anti-virus.
