Unable to burn more than 11 mins...

Thanks 'Byte' but..I still have a problem, my CD/DVD burn drive is showing
only 11 minutes of available free space on the blank disc when I insert it
into the drive,I have tried another disc but still the same problem...can
anyone help please?
 
Enable digital recording instead of analog in the Properties of your burner.
Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Hardware/CD/DVD drive Properties.
 
I've been through this problem, and done exactly as byte suggests. I wasted
about 15 CD's, then I contacted Dell, and they replaced by Cd-R dive - free
of charge - and they said I wasn't the first person to have had the problem.
