Unable to browse the network

Steve

Brand new load and connection to existing Peer to Peer WG.
Windows XP Pro on netgear router connected to ADSL, DHCP assigned addresses.

Can browse the internet.
Can ping other PC's.
Can map drive at dos.

CANNOT browse network resorces.
CANNOT other clients cannot ping my address.

This is a strange problem for a new load.

Has anybody experience this problem before? Is there a resolution.
Oh netbios is enabled and Browser is started.

Please help

I've been fighting this same problem for over two weeks now. Very
frustrating. Many answers have been posted here, but nothing has worked yet.
I keep hoping someone will come up with some setting I've overlooked.

Isn't that amazing I have not had any joy from Microsoft for I think this is
a bug.... I had previously experienced this on another workgroup but at the
time I was able to roll the system back.. But this is not the case with this
one as it is a brand new load.
Can anyone of the microsoft team reply to this?

Do you have "Internet Connection Firewall" enabled?
Check in the properties of the Network card, advanced tab. If it's enabled,
disable it.
See 283673 HOW TO: Enable or Disable Internet Connection Firewall in
Windows XP
