I would like to use the filmstrip option to view pictures in a folder, but
in "my pictures," on the "view" menu I find options for thumbnails, tiles,
icons, list, and details.
But no option to activate the "filmstrip" option.
How can I do that?
Thx ...

Try this:

Right click on the folder's icon to get the context menu

Click "Properties"

Select "Customize" tab

Select "Photo Album" in the "What kind of folder do you want?" section.

As desired, enable or disable the "Also apply this template to
sub-folders" check box

Click the "OK" or "Apply button.
