Unability to Click and Drag things

Hello
I've got a little problem....I resently installed Windows 2000 (I know I'm light years behind) and everything runs fine for about the first 10-15 minutes. After that I am no longer able to click on things and drag that particular item. This is not only just on my desktop but also in windows such as ICQ, Msn Messenger and all others. Is there something wrong with my Windows 2000 disk or is this a configuartion/command my computer is set to
If anyone has any idea what this is all about please please please Email me, I don't have another $150 to spend on another Operating System.

You may have virus, trojan or worm on the PC. Visit an anti-virus site
and do a checkup.
