Ultra PC Case Part?

B

I have the ATX Ultra Wizard case #ult31580. The 'swing out bezel' is
broken on the left top (where it attaches to the case). Can anybody
help me find a replacement? I called Ultra Products, and was told they
don't carry case parts. I am not in a position to buy a new case and
transfer my system into it. (Time constraints.)

Thanks.

Most cases come from the far east, as a complete unit.
It`s very unlikely you`ll find that part by itself.

If you carefully use a small drill bit you can drill a hole where the broken
peg is and insert a small piece of solid (copper) wire.

I had a similar case that was not cheap...but the hinges sure were crummy...

anyway...with a little care you can fix it better than new

Thanks for the tip. Why copper wire? Copper bends real easy. Over time
won't it bend out of shape? Wouldn't a more sturdy metal be better? I'm
thinking galvanized finishing nail of the right length, or sawed off to
the proper length.

I used copper simply because it was the first thing I found of the right
diameter...
but yes...a steel peg of some type would probably be better.
It's amazing how some otherwise good cases have some pretty shoddy parts!
