Ultra ata drive

Carlos Albert

I have a P3 450 Mhz with W2000 SP4 with two hard drive and two CD. I have
installed a Promise Ultra Ata 133 controller without problem. I connect a
Ultra Ata Seagate Hard Drive 120 Gb to this controller, I installed the
drivers to this controller. In the Hardware Administrator of the Control
Panel, Windows recognize the ultra ata controller perfectly under RAID SCSSI
Controllers but the Hard Drive appears with a Warning, Windows saids that
"don't have a driver for the device. Code Error 28". Windows recognize it as
a SCSSI hard drive (I think its normal). In the Disk Administrator the drive
appears with its correct size but it is imposible to format it, windows
says: "the hard drive is not enabled, it enables next Windows restart" I
don´t understand what is happening, the hard drive is correct because I
check it in another computer directly on the Mother Board. The Model of the
Hard Drive is ST120022A. Someone can help me?

Thanks at all.

If the new controller is raid, then you'll likely need to build an array in
controller bios in order to use the drive.
