Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3

Does anyone use Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3. I would like to know if it imports MM2 DVI-AVI (type 1) files. I have Pinnacle Expression and the MM2 DV-AVI type 1 have to be converted to type 2. I have been using Canopus converter (Thanks PapaJohn) and it works well, but wonder if it degrades quality at all. I don't notice any degrading. Ulead support assures me it will import type1 & 2 DVI-AVI, but their information is not always accurate
