I have just updated from Windows ME to Windows XP. Since I have updated... when I type the letters jump around. If I'm typing the next key I hit it may jump to next line above or anywhere on document.
Go to Start > Help and Support and type: TEXT , and hit enter.
Click on the Task titled "Turn text services off or on". You need
to "turn off" Text Services.
