Space bar oddity

O

Ozz Lioi

The odd behavior is this:
While replying to an email that has any content below the spacebar jumps to
the line below and if there is a word it'll separate the letters just like
spacebar should work, but on the next line every time I hit spacebar it jumps
another line down and then adds a single space wherever it lands...
Puzzled...
That happens on any editor (browsers, outlook, word, notepad, etc), on any
user in that machine.
Dell latitude D4210 on AD environemnt running XP pro SP2.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Ozz.

Just a thought to start - have you tried another keyboard to eliminate the possibility the keyboard is dying?

Yes, sometimes we forget to look at the most obvious...
It is a mechanical failure and an external keyboard helped verify that!

Thanks,

Ozz.
