typewriter animation by letter

I've inserted a text box and tried to apply typewriter animation by letter.
It only apply the affect at the end of the 3 word text box. I can't get it
to do it by letter. Thanks for any assistance.

Could you outline the steps you took to apply the animation? Color
typewriter works fine on my machine, letter by letter, so I'm guessing that
either an option was misapplied or the machine's resources are max'ed out in
some way.

Let's start at the beginning to trouble shoot this.

all is did was insert text box, and apply animation, by letter. 3 words.
typing sound only sounds after last letter.
