Two Network Adaptors in a server

Hi,

I have two Network Adaptors in a server. Adaptor A is used
for the clients connectivity and adaptor B is used for
backup purpose.
When I give netstat -rn command, I want the gateway listed
is the gateway of adaptor A so that the clients will not
face any connectivity problem. But the gateway of adaptor
B is listing when I give netstat -rn command. When I
disabling and enabling the adaptor B, to make the gateway
of adaptor A as default gateway. After few hours,
automatically the configuration is changing by itself and
the gateway of adaptor B is becoming default gateway.

Please suggest some idea..Thanks for any help.

Regards,

David.

Shut down adaptor B until adaptor A fails. You can set up an alert using
network performance counters to alert you when there is a problem with
adapter A.

Hi,

Both the adaptors need to be active as one is used for
users connectivity and another is for the backup server to
connect and perform the backup on the server. Pls advice.

Regards

David
