two email accounts

Hi,

Hope someone can answer this for me - it worked just fine with Outlook,
having two email accounts.

However, now that I have changed to this I can't figure out how to flip
between the two without having to constantly change the default account.

Outlook provided a handy little box that listed both accounts and I only had
to select one to get it, close Outlook, re-open and select the other - it
worked perfectly.

Is there something like that here or am I stuck with the labourious process
of changing default everytime I want to check for mail on the other?

Any help will be appreciated....

Thanks!

I'm not sure why you want to change the default account.
You can add multiple email accounts to WM, and WM will check them all for
new email messages.
Just make sure that [x] "Include this account when receiving mail or
synchronizing" is checked under
Tools - Accounts - (youraccount) - Properties

And when you compose a message, you can select which account you want to
send from, by clicking on the down arrow at the end of the "From:" field.

Why would you want to restart your email program just to have
a different default account? All accounts are readily accessible in
Windows Mail at all times. Explain in detail what you don't like
about Windows Mail, and we may be able to suggest a workaround.

You say "check for mail on the other", so I assume you want a way to check
for messages for a specific account only. Windows Mail will automatically
check all accounts you have set up in it except for accounts that you
explicitly unselect that option for. Another option determines whether it
checks for messages at all automatically. That option is also the default.
So perhaps you just changed the default settings and if so no one will know
unless they are either are psychic or you say you changed the options. I
realize that if you did change an option that is relevant, you are not aware
of that having this affect.

Does Windows Mail automatically check for messages for you? If so, then do
you want to disable that? If not, then would your problem be solved if it
did?
