Two-column in-cell drop-down?

Can I have an 'in-cell' drop-down with two columns, with only the
first column's value entered in to the cell when i select it?

Not using Data Validation dropdown.

I don't understand the reasoning behind your request.

If you just want one column's value, just use that column for the DV List
