Which programs ???
(without this we have nowhere to start helping you)

When and after doing what in each of the programs you have failed to tell us
about ?

Not really since you have actually told us noting so far

Maybe that's because those programs were designed to run on those operating
systems, but who knows since you tell us nothing to start from.

So it is an "It" now not a them. So it is only one program you had a
problem with or many ?
Of course - just download Virtual PC 2007 with SP1
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...02-3199-48A3-AFA2-2DC0B40A73B6&displaylang=en
Although it is probably not the actual answer to the problem you have

If you are going to post a problem then you really will have to post way
more detail about the device, applications, processes and problem.

My debugger won't run properly.
When I can get that working, then I can post more details.

How can I access security policies in the Home Edition?

You were right, Virtual PC did nothing.

How can I access security policies in the Home Edition?

Andy

Which debugger ?
It is highly likely that you will need a specific x64 debugger or at least
one that is x64 aware.

As regards Home Edition and security policies you really are not use the
best product for a professional development environment.
Home (Premium) Edition does not support the use of the MMC tool available on
the "higher" editions. If you want to edit security policies on Home
(Premium) Edition you will need to edit the appropriate registry settings.

Ollydbg 2.0.
As regards Home Edition and security policies you really are not use the

The program was written using Microsoft's own compiler and linker.
It should continue to work.

Thanks.

And where would I find out the specifics on editing the security
policies on Home Premium edition?

From http://www.ollydbg.de/
OllyDbg is a 32-bit assembler level analysing debugger for Microsoft®
Windows®. Emphasis on binary code analysis makes it particularly useful in
cases where source is unavailable. OllyDbg is a shareware

So it is a specific 32-bit product and is low level - it is highly likely
this may not be supported on the x64 editions of Windows.
It is also shareware so probably not a professional level quality tool that
I would use for commercial software development.

Also from their own requirements page at http://www.ollydbg.de/requires.htm
No mention of x64 or Windows Vista.
So for any more support contact them see the FAQ at
http://www.ollydbg.de/faq.htm

As regards using the registry editor to change the security policy
settings - it entirely depends on what polices etc you wish to change.
Start using a search engine such as www.bing.com or www.google.com etc to
find more information.

I found bing.com to be a pretty good search engine.
I found this article to be interesting.
