Probably because you are downloading the WRONG version of TweakUI. Get
the TweakUI that is part of the Power Toys for Windows XP.

So milton's response of "jibberish, need more info" was more helpful?
Not according to your reply to milton. "here ya go" and Kelly provided
the suggestion that you didn't have SP1 installed yet for Windows XP.
Well, you say you're not a stupid user yet you don't run Windows Update
regularly or you have disabled it from running automatically as an NT
service to go check for you. You're smart enough to know which version
of TweakUI to download. You're not smart enough to keep Windows up to
date. My assumption that you downloaded the wrong version of TweakUI
(rather than assume you don't bother to keep Windows updated) made you
look less stupid. Like you said, I was wrong.

If you expect only a correct answer to your problem but for which we
volunteers have no access to your system to interrogate then expect
almost no response to your inquiry. There is no guarantee a response is
the absolutely best correct answer. We offer help. We don't guarantee
anything. God doesn't visit the newsgroups.

That worked fine for me kelly. Thanks a lot. I thought SP1 was installed but for some reason that version didn't work although it's been working.
