tweak to open new windows in background?

Is there a tweak to allow IE6 to open new windows in the background, like
Firefox? I know about "IE Maximizer" but was wondering if there's a way to
do it without a third party utility?

p.s. I'm trying to remain calm and stay with IE, but the Firefox crew is
making it tough

Unfortunately, there isn't.

Because Firefox is open source and has hoardes of deleopers around the
world, new useful features, extras and extensions are consistantly evolving,
where with IE...it works basically the way Microsoft want it to work
