Twain Help

I am not sure where to post this so if any of you have a suggestion, please
let me know. I don’t want to cross post this so I will start in this forum.

I have an Epson Perfection 1670 scanner and several days ago it stopped
delivering images. The scanner will warm up and the light bar will move over
the document but no image is sent but a file is created with a blank image.

When I look at the Twain Log I find the following message:
TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTwunk ::AppInitialize - Reset Log
TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTwunk ::OpenServer - Starting Thunker
TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTwunk ::CloseServer - Why Can't We Find The
Thunker Window?

I have uninstalled all the drivers and reinstalled them but I get the same
results. According to Epson it’s a Windows problem and they want me to call
Microsoft and let them solve it.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

I have only two comments in this post for you. One, is to completely
uninstall and then reinstall the scanner with most up to date drivers.
If that doesn't work, then two - buy a new scanner. But, before doing
this, have you tried to do a system restore?
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
