TWAIN BEING BLOCKED

Hi,

Below is a complete copy of my twain.log file, after trying to aquire
pcitures from my Digital Camera, a Concord EYE-Q DUO LCD , useing Arcsoft's
Photoimpression 2000. WinXP PRO is blocking twain from starting! I
reinstalled the Camera drivers.....no luck. .......twain divers .........no
luck either ....HELP!!!

Cari \(MS-MVP\)

Twain and WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) don't work too well together....
try going to the Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services... set WIA to
Manual... reboot the PC then try again.

If there is a scanner connected when this happens, the scanner TWAIN is
loaded and the Camera TWAIN cannot load.

Thanks Cari.......I disabled WIA, rebooted, checked thaf the service was
off.......no luck ......still won't work.....the aquire screen flashes by
real quick....just like before......ahhhh!

From what I can tell looking at your camera's manual (available at
http://www.concord-camera.com/support/downloads/inst_manual/duo_lcd/inst_duo_lcd.htm )
, you may have the mode set improperly. There are two modes: PC Mode (which
appears to use the Twain driver) and Mass Storage Mode (or HDD Mode), which
will cause the camera to be accessed as if it were another storage device on
your computer (so you could open files from the camera in the same manner as
opening files on your hard disk).

Thanks Jeff,

Been there...Done that!.....They mention an inconpatibilabity with the NEWER
Toshiba Tecera not importing to Photoimpessions, ALL the Windows functions
work correctly.....maybe my Toshiba Satellite should get added to list of
incompatible Laptops! (Mdl. 2805-301).
