turned off xp before shut down and won't load up

I accidentally turned off my pc at the plug before it had
shut down and now when i try to use it, windows will not
load up. It gives me options of safe mode or start
normally but all result in the computer restarting itself
after trying and failing to start xp. Could someone please
tell me how i can fix this because i really need to use to
my pc?

Have you tried using the "Last known Good" option?
You should find it as an option if you hit "F8" at startup.
"Last Known Good" will use configurations that were stored
by XP after a successfully boot.
