My manager (in San Francisco) and I (in Minneapolis) both have Outlook 2003,
same SP. I get a drop-down of user information and availability when I hover
my cursor over people's names in address fields. My manager does not. Can you
let me know if this is a feature he should be able to use? If so, how is it
enabled?
Also, it appears you do not have to wait for the gray ball to appear. You
can simply right-click the name in the address field and the information is
displayed. So maybe it is not a big deal that he does not get the hover
effect. FYI - My wife works at another company and this feature is enabled
in her Outlook client.
