Turn off the Reading Pane OFF in MS Word Doc attachments

In Tools -> Options, we are only able to find a way to alter the performance
of the Reading Pane with Attachments, but we cannot find a way to turn it off
completely. For myself, personally, I absolutely and emphatically DISLIKE
(really "hate" is a better word) this particular feature. Please advise on
how we can turn this off or please submit this as an Enhancement Request on
my behalf.

Thank you

It's unclear whether you're referring to the reading pane in Outlook or the reading preview in Word documents. The latter is controlled in Word's Tools | Options dialog.
