Reading Pane not working

Seems a recurring theme that the reading pane fails in Vista. Even though it
is selected on either right or bottom I have a blank blue box??

Have also discovered, since this occurred pressing the ESC key to close an
email now no longer works.

Help would be appreciated.

Works fine for me.

Did you try running Detect & Repair (or Office Diagnostics)? (Help menu)
What version of Outlook are you using?
