Turn off pop-up messages

katehollington

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could let me know how to turn off all
"helpful hints" from Microsoft - eg 'There are unused icons on your
desktop, click here to delete them' .
They make me angry.
Thanks
Kate

They make you "angry"??? They are for your benefit, leave it alone.
Don't try to fix it if it doesn't need fixin'.

Go to "Display Properties" / Desktop / Customize Desktop. Remove the check
from "Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard Every 60 Days".
