turn off keep track of formatting

Liesl

I have word 2002, and i want to turn off "keep track of
formatting". The way to do this is said to be
Tools>Options>Edit. this may seem bizarre, but I don't
have Options in my Tools menu - only Autocorrect options,
and Customise.

can anyone help?

Either "customize" the menu/toolbar by adding
the "Options" back to it, or delete the NORMAL.DOT file.

You may have "adaptive menus" enabled, so you're seeing only the most
recently used items. Click the arrows at the bottom of the menu to see the
full menu.
