Turn off computer takes 5 min

hello...
windows xp pro
problem:
after installation of new motherboard i have problem with turning off
pc
when i click on start then turn off computer it takes sometimes 3 to 5
min to shut down

i try shutdown -s command and on the next turning off it looks like
problem was fixed...but next and next was same long..

no problem with turning on computer

could you please help me to solve this problem

I posted an inquiry today, also about slow shutdown--in my case, not 5
but _45_ minutes. I hope that someone can help us both.

When you installed the new motherboard, did you do a repair install?
Unless the new motherboard was identical to the old one, you should do
this. After the repair install, did you also install all the drivers
for your new motherboard? If if didn't, you need to do so.
