Turn Off Computer In Start Menu.

I have a problem where the "Turn Off Comuter" option in the Start Menu has
disappeared, not allowing me to shut down normally. Has anyone any ideas as
to what may have happened and a way to solve the problem.

Try going to your "Administrative Tools" and then select "Local Security
Policies". Then you will find a part on the left hand side of the window
that states ""Local Policies". Under that you will then find "User Rights
Assignment". Click on that and scroll down to where it says "Shut Down the
System" (it should be at the very bottom). If there are no user types
listed or if your user type is not listed, then this may be the answer to
your problem. Simply double click on it and add your name to the list.
This may or may not be the answer to your problem. I have not tried it out
on my machine because it is working just fine, but this may help you out.
Or at least I hope it does...
 
Hi... I have the same problem that Mr. Hannam has but my "Administrative
Tools" is different than yours
I have windows XP and it's different...so can u help me too?
