Tsunami Speed 3500 external USB HDD closure

Update: When plugged in the Tsunami Speed cabinet reports an
ID of "USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\5&B92D8D&0&5" (Unknow Device).

The ID in the INF-files AND in one of the "hidden" USB devices
(USB mass storage device) is "USB\VID_152D&PID_2338" and that
is there from the last time the drive was plugged in I guess.

But WHY does the external storage controller not report the
right device ID to XP anymore? Why does it report only "0000"
as VID and PID, and not "152D" and "2338" like before :-(

Is there anything wrong with my controller (it's almost new).
What could case XP not to be able to read the device ID?

PS! I have another external HDD cabinet that works OK, so
it's not a USB-controller problem (tried different ports)

If the device won't work on another computer the device is bad. Since it is
"almost new" it should be under warranty. You have proven that it isn't the
port on the computer.
