TS Spooler hang up server

I have a 2000 TS and ever so often it hangs up. Users click on an app and it
just stalls. You try to login at this time and it just stalls. I have done
all the Windows updates and installed the user profile hive cleanup, but it
is still hanging up. The only thing that seems to work is restarting the
spooler. Any suggestion would be grateful.

Remove all 3rd party printer drivers that didn't ship with the OS, and map
natively unsupported drivers to built-in drivers via user defined inf file.
3rd party drivers, i.e. the ones that you download from a printer
manufacturer's wevbsite or that come on a CD with your printer are the
culprit for 90% of Terminal Server BSOD, and 99% of printer spooler failures.
If you don't where to find what drivers are installed, on the ts go the the
printer control panel -> File -> Server Properties -> Drivers.

You should also set the spooler service to restart upon failure.
