TS Print Problem

Ann F.

I have a Win2k workstation [user has local admin rights], connected to Win2k
TS. On the local Win2k workstation, there are two printers installed Acrobat
..pdf Writer and HP Laserjet 4Si. The .pdf Writer is not shared, the HP is
shared and designated as the default printer.

When my client connects to her TS session, it automatically selects the .pdf
writer for her default printer. The HP is available, but shows the wrong
port [LPT1]. When I go to the TS Manager to see which session number she is,
and then go back to the ports on the HP print property, it shows that
specific port number as being INACTIVE. Obviously, when I try to assign the
printer to that session port, I get an error when I print.

How can I have the client automatically connect to the HP as her default
printer in TS, like it is at her local workstation? Printing works fine on
other workstations at her location. It's just this PC. I have also tried to
reinstall the rdp client, and also tried to install a different printer on
her workstation and get the same result [ie.still always want to select .pdf
as her default]. Aaargh.

Yep, as indicated in my original message, the 4Si is set as the default
printer on the local machine, and it is ALWAYS the default. It never
changes.

Thanks,
Ann

If they are local printers, do you have the 4si set as
default on your local machine BEFORE you open a terminal
session???
