TS on Win2000 Server Licensing

R

Ravi

I am new on TS. I have installed the TSWeb on a Win2000
server (DC). I have clients running WinXP professional
and WIn200 Professionals. Do I need the Terminal server
CALs or the License server? I am vary confused. I have
read the FAQs and am still confused on the licensing part.

Thx,
Ravi

You *must* install a TS Licensing Server on your Domain Controller
and activate it. You *don't* have to buy or install licenses, since
all W2K Pro and XP Pro clients receive a free, built-in TS CAL from
the licensing server.

Same problem, but how do I install a TS licensing server on the windows 2000
server. I have 3 windows 2000 and 2 windows XP pro that have licenses
expiring.

Add/Remove programs - Add/Remove Windows Components - Terminal
Services - TS Licensing.
