TS GPO's no Active Directory.

Hi all again,

Got TS on Win2003 no Active directory and I want to know which tool can I
use and how to control users Desktops i.e. Remove Screen servers, add/remove
from Control panel etc... I know if I had AD I would be able to use GPO's is
there a something similar to use instead and how.

without AD you can use local policies but you can EASILY lock yourself
out!!!

Hi,

We're having the same problem.

I know it's possible to deny 'Apply Group Policy' on the security tab,
but the security tab only exists in Active Directory, there isn't one
on the local policy. Or if there isn, I'm looking in the wrong place


Opening gpedit.msc, and I would normally click on the Policy name at
the top, and select properties, but there is no security tab there.

We want to use the local policy of our 2003 server because it is more
comprehensive than that of our 2000 domain controller.
