TS Clients disconnected, can't reconnect to session

A

Andrew

G'day,

I have a Win2k TS Server, behind a firewall on a 2MB
fiber internet connection in AU.

I also have a small office (5 users) running XP Pro
clients in the UK, behind a firewall on a 512k/256k
DSL line.

Clients in the UK can connect fine, everything works ok.

However, clients are being randomly disconnected from
their sessions in the UK office. When they reconnect,
they connect to new sessions - not their old, disconnected
session. TS manager reports that yes, the old sessions are
disconnected.

I can simulate disconnecting here in AU, and when I
reconnect I connect to my old session, as I would
expect.

We never have more than 3-4 users conencted, and the TS
server is set to accept up to 10. The TS server is
suitable powered, no probs there.

Latency between the two offices is around 450msec.

I have seen mention here of modiying the client's default
TCP/IP retransmission/reconnect settings. Has anyone
had luck doing so, and if so, could you provide the
reg keys and settings you modified?

I know I can set the TS server to simply reset the
disconnected sessions, but the app we are using is
one that the users would rather reconnect to.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

AJ
