TS Client Disconnected

I ahve TS client across WAN and have gone throught the
keep alive doc but have not implemented them. SOme users
call and say that they see a blue screen on their TS
session. TS mgr show that they are discon. So i ask them
to close the session which prompts " this will discon your
session etc" . When they try to recon, i see their status
at TS mgr as active but the users claim that they only can
see a black screen. So I have to log them off and ask them
to reconnect. Why can't they reconnect back to their
previous discon session. Why the black screen.

From the Microsofts Terminal Services FAQ at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/centers/termi
nal/terminal_faq.asp

Q. Sometimes when I connect to my terminal server, I see a black
screen. Why does this occur?

A. This typically occurs if there is a device between the client
and the server that is receiving packets but not passing them on.
One way around this problem is to change the MTU size for the
network adapter that is being used as a terminal server connection
to clients.

Ethernet uses a maximum MTU size of 1500. You can start with 500
and then slowly move up until you notice the problem to find the
correct value to set
