TS audio/sounds on clients

I have TS 2000 setup on a Dell PowerEdge-350. I'd like sounds to play on
connected clients. However so far, no clients are able to play sounds. (I
have the RDP client set to play sounds on the client.) There is no sound
card in the PE. Do I need one to get the sounds to play on the clients?

Thanks.

RDP 5.0, which comes with Windows 2000, doesn't support
client-audio redirection. To get this, you'll have to
have a third party addon, like Citrix MetaFrame, or you
can get Windows Server 2003 which supports this natively.

Matthew,

Thanks for your reply. I plan to upgrade to 2003. However, will I still
need to add a sound card to the server?

Nope. Adding a sound card will not do anything. Because
the sound is rendered by a virtual device, having a
physically present sound card won't accomplish anything.
