I've done some serious trouble shooting to try to get my PC running Windows
XP home edition SP2 and my Xbox 360 to see each other on my network. I've
resolved all the possible firewall issues, I've opened all the necessary
ports and still can't get the two machines to talk. I saw a thread that told
me to manually configure some key services to automatic and start them. I
was successful on all but one. When I tried to start the Windows Media
Player Sharing service I get the following error...
Could not start the Windows Media Player Network Sharing service on local
computer
Error 1008: An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist
Any ideas on what this error is, and more importantly how do I fix it?
