trying to uninstall ms office

I have MS Office XP with Frontpage installed on my computer but I never use
it. I have a small hard drive and it uses alot of space so my hard drive is
about maxed with only 241 MB of free space. My computer runs slow so I
unistalled MS Office. The next day my computer was hit with viruses, spyware
and adware. I have ad-aware, yahoo antispy and avast antivirus. The viruses
were taken care of but I kept getting all these popups. I kept running
ad-aware and yahoo antispy but they were still there and then they started
taking over my homepage and browser so I did a system restore. Now the
problem is it still shows MS Office installed and using space. When I try to
unistall it shows an error about the patch missing from windows installer and
it won't let me unistall it. When I try to open like word or excel it shows
someone else is using it. I don't have a disc for it so can anyone help me. I
just want to free up some space by getting rid of the things I don't use or
need. Please HELP!

Ok, I tried the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. It removes it from the
add/remove programs list but when you try to remove the files it shows that
they are being used and cannot be deleted.

The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not:
• Remove Windows Installer.
• Remove files of any programs that are installed by Windows Installer, such
as Microsoft Office 2003.
The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does:
• Provide a dialog box where you can select one or more programs that were
installed by Windows Installer. You select the programs on the Installed
Products list in the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box. After you make
this selection, the utility removes only the Windows Installer configuration
information that is related to those programs.
• Remove the files and registry settings that make up the Windows Installer
configuration information for programs that you select.

My hard drive still shows to have only 241 MB of free space. Am I doing
something wrong?
