Trying to Subscribe to newsgroups

When I try to use the setup in Outlook express 6 to
subscribe to a newsgroup I keep getting a message
saying "can't find server" is the server down or do I
need to do something else first. I am operating on XP Pro.

Which server are you trying to use? Are you trying to use one or your ISP's news servers or directly with one of the MS news servers?

Hi

newsgroups in outlook require access to port 119 which is
blocked by most firewalls and in corporate houses. check
if u have access to port 119. or else u can use the html
version of the newsgroups.
