Trying to start with different system configurations for 2 users?

Hi,

I am having troubles playing a game (keeps crashing in normal system
configuration) and I am following the recommendations in MS knowledge base
Article ID : 303032 Games: The game stops responding or quits unexpectedly.
This article recommends that you do a clean boot and create a different user
account for the gaming only. I have done that, and changed the system
configuration in the gaming account to get the clean boot. It does prevent
the game crashing, so all is well trhere.

The problem that arises now is that the changes I made in the system
configuration are showing up in BOTH user accounts. To go on the internet, I
need to change the system configuration again to get my antivirus program
going (it doesn’t start if it is not listed in services)

Is there any way that I can have startups with different system
configuration for these two user accounts, or is that impossible?

Thanks.
Geert

You will have to look at using one of the other solutions listed. System
settings apply no matter what user logs onto the computer. --- Steve

Thanks, Steven.
I thought so too, but wasn't sure, so I thought to ask the experts.

Makes me wonder why Microsoft suggests it as a solution to this problem. It
doesn't seem to do any good if you have to reorganize the system settings
every time you want to switch between users anyway. That can be done faster
with only one account.
