Trying to set up microsoft outlook with Sympatico

Hello,

I'm trying to set my ISP (Sympatico) with a trial version of Microsoft
Office Outlook. I had been using Outlook Express, but wanted to try some
other program.

After configuring MIcrosoft Outlook, I tried to send an e-mail to myself.
However, it still opens up in Outlook Express instead.

Anyone have similar problems and can offer suggestions?

How does it automatically "open up" in OE? How are you checking mail?

Make sure you
a) remove your mail account settings in OE or stop opening it to check
mail...or both
b) set Outlook as your default mail client in control panel, internet
options, programs.
