Why not? ISPs don't give a fig what email client you use.....

If Thunderbird can't get the mail, Outlook doesn't stand a better chance
unless sympatico has moved to using an Exchange server (doubtful).

Hello there - not sure if this makes sense but they've switched to a webmail
platform. I can send/receive from my mail accts in outlook - had to change a
few settings (pop and smtp are now pophm and smtphm) and had to change to
SSL. Also had to change ports to 995 (ingoing) and 25 (outgoing). I really
don't understand all this. But with these changes, i can no longer 'send'
thru Thunderbird - i can 'receive' tho. Anyway the sympatico tech reps say
they do not support anything other then Outlook. Why? Well, i don't know.
But it's a business, so i can only summize that involves money somehow :).
So..here i am trying to manually copy/paste emails from one client to another.

You can make all those changes in Thunderbird - failing that, look at the
Webmail extension....

Seems to me Thunderbird has those settigs as well. If it works in Outlook
and Thunderbird allows you to specify those settings as well, it should work
in Thunderbird.

Thanks Brian. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Thunderbird. I setup
exactly the same settings as in Outlook and no luck. I'll keep trying.
Thanks again!
