Coming back to Outlook from Thunderbird

About a month ago, I switched from Outlook to Thunderbird, but have found
that Outlook is a much better mail program. I have dozens of Emails in TB
that need to be imported into Outlook. TB support says that the easiest way
to do it is to save each file as a .eml file and then import them into
Outlook.

Outlook, however, doesn't seem to have the ability to import this file type.

Is there anything I can do to move these Emails without having to forward
them all?

Outlook Express, Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail support eml-files and
exporting to Outlook.

Thank you for your reply, Robert, however, I could find nothing on either of
those websites in your signature about importing eml files. Do you know of a
specific link that may have that info?

Have a look at ie2e

Thank you, Gordon. The description of this download is "Allows conversion of
MAIL folders from Outlook Express 5 to standard MBX file format used by
Eudora."
However, I don't need to export my Outlook to another program. I need to go
FROM Thunderbird TO Outlook.

Any thoughts?

It will convert MBOX format email (which is what Thunderbird uses) to eml
format which is what OE uses.

The instructions to do so were in my reply and not in my signature. Where do
you get stuck?

save the messages as eml then drag and drop into OE folders. Then export
from OE to Outlook.

this is a particularly vital topic for me, as I am migrating to Outlook after ten years of Eudora and Thunderbird, and have thousands of messages I am keen not to lose. However, I'm afraid I don't understand the message with "OE", nor can I (as I think it is suggested) take all my messages one by one.

I also tried to download IE2I with no success.

I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Well if you have Eudora, Outlook will import messages direct from Eudora....

Eudora went the way of all good things, which is why I moved to Thunderbird. I therefore no longer have Eudora. I did try, however, to get it back and load Thunderbird messages to Eudora, but with no luck there either.
