Could some please help me. I am a 'L' and cannot work out
out to send digital photos that I have taken. I have
tried to winzip and send and everyone is saying that they
can't open them at the other end. I have just moved into
a new home so have lot's of photos to send.

Currently the photos I have taken are saved in My
Pictures in folders. That much - so good. The rest just
goes to the dogs when I try to send.

Regards
Gail

Hi Gail

If you've got Winzip installed, highlight the files you want to zip up, then
right click on them and select Winzip>Add to zip file... Type in the name
of the file you want to save them to. Attach that file to an email. The
people you sent that attachment to will need to have Winzip installed to
open the file.

Well i just left click on the pic to be sent go send to then to mail
recipient click on make small and it goes strait to my email ready to
send just add name of who your sending it to and away it goes takes 10
seconds all up

In addition to the other advice, I would like to add that many e-mail
accounts have a limit on the size of files sent to them. Since photos can
be large file, the ISP may be blocking them. This is particularly true of
the "free" ISPs.

Also, Outlook and Outlook Express can block photos, because they can contain
viruses (especially photos in the .jpg format). The recipient has to adjust
the security level of the email program they are using to accept photos.

Try sending a photo to yourself (your own email address), and try opening
it. If it works on your machine, then you know that the problem lies with
the recipients machine.
