When I scan a letter it goes into some file (folder?)
that's called Paint. I need it in Text. When I e-mail to
myself the words are Giant sized and hard to read. Can ya
hep me?

You are scanning as a picture, you need to select the scan
to file option as editable text (or text with image). If
you have the option and don't need to edit the text, scan to
a PDF file.

When you scan anything it saves it in a picture format. If you want scanned
in documents to be text then you need some OCR software. Search google.com
for OCR software.

Scanning creates an image. Image size can be controlled via the scanner
software.

If you want plain text that can be edited, then use an O.C.R. (optical
character reader) program. Often, scanner software includes a basic
O.C.R. utility, or one can be purchased off the Net or at retail stores.

Check scanner HELP files and documentation to see what you have.
