When ever I try to get to System Restore I get an error message.... this
includes clicking on the System Restore Tab on Administartive tools - I never
get a System Restore dialog box to check any settings. The message I get is
"An exception occurred while trying to run
"C\windows\system32\shell32.dll,control_RunDLL"c:\windows\system32\sysdm.cpl",system"
When I look at the even services log the message says "The system Restore
service has been suspended because there is not enough disk space available
on the drive \\?\volume{b82d5a43-laf3-11d7-a19f-80a32aac1947}\. System
Restore will automatically resume service once at least 200MB of free space
is available on the system drive". I have 2 hard drives in the computer,
both with over 3 gig free on each.....
Anyone have any ideas? Could I have a corrupt file?
Thanks
Ted

Hi Ivee,

Well, I have gigibytes of disk space. But I notice the drive name is
strange, could it be trying to open a drive that has a differnt name? Can't
this just ebe "C:\"? And also there is a "?" in the spring that defines the
location...
Thanks
Ted

You might know more about this than me , but here goes late or not.
Check the amount of space you have allotted for system restore.
on control panel.>performance and maintenance.basic info.about computer.
On system properties.>system restore. Check how much space is allowed to SR.
I have 4579 MB

Check this out. right click my computer-properties-system properties-system
restore tab-move arrow to max. I have mine set at 4579 MB
