After my child got off the computer 2 nights ago, I have
been trying to delete programs off the computer that she
added unknowingly, they make my computer run slow. I go
to "add or remove programs" and delete several things but
the minute someone logs on it's there again, like I never
deleted them. Here are the name of the programs that I
thought were the newly added things.....Batch Assistant,
Data Compiler, Indexing Function,SBM OS, Search OS,
Sidebar Search and last one URL.IE APP . Do any of
these need to stay? I want to know how to delete some of
these things so my computer will run better.

They're adware/spyware installed by Grokster. Go to www.lavasoftusa.com and
download, install and run the free version of Adaware. Keep it updated and run
it regularly to help keep your system cleaner. I do hope you are using a good
antivirus and firewall as well. Your child seems to have gotten into some
possibly damaging areas and may do it again if given the chance.
