trying to install XP from Windows Me

Can anyone help - trying to install XP from Me - only get
as far as "preparing installation" - time remaining
65mins - then it hangs. Can anyone help?

On XP opening page,try selecting,do you meet the requi-
rements to install.If thats ok,usually xp wont load if
a virus is present,try running the anti-virus,youll have
to disable it for the install of xp.
 
If the system checks out I would suggest a clean install
over an upgrade. Just make sure you have the latest
drivers for your other components.
