trying to install itunes, getting error mesage

I am getting this message when I try to install itunes/quicktime

Could not write value AutoPlayPrompt to key \software\microsoft\internet
explorer\media. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or
contact support personnel.

iTunes is terrible, try songbird.
