The pathname to the windows fonts folder is
C:\Windows\FONTS.
The pathname to the Fonts applet in Control Panel
(according to it's shortcut) is also
C:\Windows\Fonts.
How can I hyperlink to Control Panel> Fonts?

Watcha!

Actually if you look closely you will see that they are one and the same
thing. The Control Panel files are held in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and are files
with a .cpl extension so have a look there you will not see a font.cpl file.

Therefore just create a shortcut to the FONTS folder...

Hello Jaybee, nice of you to reply.
Actually if you look closely you will see that they are one and the same
thing.

I can't see them as any more than similar, with the difference being that
the Control Panel> Fonts window has 3 font manipulation related icons on
the right side of the tool bar. I also can't get the window from
C:\Windows\Fonts to show anything more than a single 'view' icon on the
right end of the tool bar..
The Control Panel files are held in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and are files
with a .cpl extension so have a look there you will not see a font.cpl file.

Thanks, I looked and you're right. Does this mean it's not possible to make
a link to the window features I desire?
Therefore just create a shortcut to the FONTS folder...

The link I'm trying to make is intended to give access to the font
manipulation icons that don't show up in the window when accessed via a
link or shortcut to C:\Windows\Fonts.

You have another problem there perhaps, which I have seen in the past - do
you get the 'Install New Font' option on the File Menu within the
Windows\Fonts folder? If not, then I cannot remember at the moment what was
done to fix it - a registry tweak perhaps. Anyone else remember?

Jaybee.

So these icons should be there on the tool bar in the C:\Windows\Fonts
folder too?
With this in mind I'll do a search, now I have a clearer idea of what I'm
looking for. Thanks for giving me that.
